The Island has a wealth of history, scenic beauty and wildlife that it would like to share with you. Here you will find information on wildlife trips and tours both land and sea based trips. It also includes some of the castles that speak the heritage of this beautiful Island. Local walks and standing stone information is also provided. Further details and advice can be obtained from the webmaster by using the contact button. Travelling to Mull by Road Back to Top The shortest route for those coming by car from the south is either by the M6/A74/M8/A82 to Crianlarich and Oban, or via Stirling and Callander to Crianlarich if travelling from the east coast. Timetables and other information can be obtained from Caledonian MacBrayne (Oban), Telephone 01631 562285. If you plan to take your car onto the Oban - Craignure ferry you should book both ways during the summer. You will need to check with your accommodation provider, what time they will expect you to arrive so that you can make the necessary Ferry booking to suite. If you are travelling from Oban to Craignure for your holiday on Mull, you should turn right off the ferry linkspan and head towards Salen and Tobermory. If you are travelling on the Lochaline to Fishnish ferry you should travel up the ferry road to the T junction and then make a right turn towards Salen and Tobermory. Having
turned right you will eventually arrive at a village named Salen travel
straight through the village towards Tobermory and in about half a mile
you will be travelling alongside the river inlet with the water on your
right. After about 500 mtrs the road goes sharp right over a bridge towards
Tobermory and there is another road that goes straight on. |
